Lumivest began in Kuala Lumpur when a small group of educators noticed something consistent: many adults in Malaysia wanted to understand investing better but found most available resources either too technical, too promotional, or quietly pressuring them toward specific products. There was little neutral ground.
We set out to build that neutral ground. Starting with a simple self-paced course, we developed a structured approach to explaining how investing is generally discussed — what common asset categories mean, how concepts like risk and return are typically framed, and why principles like diversification appear repeatedly in financial literature. All of it presented without agenda.
Today, Lumivest offers three distinct learning formats for Malaysians who are ready to start from scratch or deepen a general understanding. None of our programmes provide individual advice. What we do provide is clarity, vocabulary, and a reading library that helps people continue learning responsibly on their own terms.

Investing Concept Education in Malaysia
Lumivest focuses exclusively on one area: helping people in Malaysia develop a clear, general understanding of how investing is commonly described and discussed. This is a narrower scope than many organisations in the broader education sector, and that narrowness is deliberate. When a team concentrates deeply on explaining one subject well, the explanations get better over time.
The Malaysian context matters to us. We reference locally relevant bodies — including the Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, and the Employees Provident Fund — when pointing participants toward official sources. Terminology used in Malaysian financial discourse appears throughout our materials, so learners are not left to translate between two contexts after they leave a session.
Our self-paced Beginners course suits those who want to explore ideas at their own pace over roughly four weeks. The Foundations Workshop is suited to those who learn better through discussion and structured group sessions over five weeks. The Comprehensive Literacy Program brings both formats together over ten weeks for participants who want the most complete general overview available.
All three programmes are educational only. No individual guidance, personal recommendations, or product-specific information appears in our content.
